A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Indianapolis, Indiana, Curtis Coonrod has served as the principal owner of Curtis L. Coonrod & Company since 1991. In this capacity, he oversees financial reporting and budgeting for municipalities, townships, and counties, ensuring that they operate in compliance with all financial regulatory frameworks, including those imposed by the Department of Local Government Finance, along with other state agencies. An IRS-registered tax preparer, Curtis Coonrod also provides tax and filing services for small businesses and individuals.
Before establishing his own firm, Mr. Coonrod served as accounting manager for BKD, LLP and as elected auditor for Marion County, where his duties included overseeing budgets and expenditures. Earlier in his career of more than four decades, he worked for major accounting firms such as Ernst & Young and KPMG. He also served as treasurer and financial officer for the Phil Crane for President Committee in the late 1970s.
Mr. Coonrod holds a bachelor of arts in business administration from Indiana University. He also studied at Butler University.
